July 2016, SYDNEY -
Cool Drive Distribution DREAM Motorsport driver Simon Fallon has come away from a stunning weekend in Sydney as the Burson Rookie of the Round winner, after Round 3 of the 2016 CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Fallon claimed his first podium finish in the Championships after storming through the field from 8th in Race 2.
He then claimed another strong fourth in the final race, demonstrating remarkable overtaking manoeuvres across the weekend to finish fifth overall for the round.
Fallon’s efforts were justly rewarded by claiming the Burson Auto Parts Rookie of the Round.
“DREAM Motorsport’s been really good to me getting the car ready to go,” Fallon said.
Of the racing itself, 16 year old Victorian Fallon said, “Great racing between all the boys, especially Nick Rowe in the second race. Bit unfortunate about the qualifying but, oh well, we came back strong.”
Round Four of the CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship next heads to Queensland Raceway as a support event to the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship on July 22–24.
